The reason why i chose this particular subject, carpentry, was because this is something i like to talk about and its something i like to teach people about it. The main thing that i have got myself involved is carpentry when i was younger working around people that was older than me and just knowing how to work with different people as a team. The man i knew was a friend of the family and i had told him that i want to learn about carpentry. He took time out to teach me how to do this particle work that a good thing to talk and for people to help you with what you trying to achieve. I am happy to learn how to do this work Most people that is older than you dont have time to help you. And also it good to know how to do carpentry work because they make really good money. And it good to learn how to do this kind of work. And you don't have to get pay anybody else to do this particular work that you can do so you can save a lot of money. I think also that more black males should learn it because it can be money on the side that because the way the economy is it good learn how to save money. Like fixing stairs, doors building tables and like creating tables to. And also it some thing that can take care a family. And you can have your own house. And you don't have to be begging your mom and other people. The only thing you have to worry about is getting hurt. So you have to be a good listener. I am glad that the friend of the family took out time to help me. And because i can actually do the work and show other people how to do it.

This blog emphasizes a lot of aspects of carpentry. The fact that you applied your own experiences, makes it easier ti relate to.
ReplyDeleteVernon,
ReplyDeleteThis post is compelling and interesting because we learn a lot about why you're interested in the topic. What comes through very well is that you are somebody who likes to learn (and teach) new things and that makes me excited about reading what will come out of your research.
Lashawn aka Vernon,
ReplyDeleteReading this, I immediately picture you in class building your mousetrap car or helping others to construct their boxes for our art project last year with Guillermo "Mr. G". You are definitely a natural carpenter, and what I love about this post is that you provide examples of things carpenters can fix and build to make money, and that you include the importance of listening so that you don't get injured on the job. Terrific!
